This Half-Day tour will spend your afternoon by visiting West Bali to visit one of Bali’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites Taman Ayun Temple. Next, we’ll proceed to Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest, a nature reserve with hundred of monkeys and green forest. Our final stop of the tour is Tanah Lot Temple to visit a temple built in the 16th century and located by the sea while enjoying sunset.

Places to Visit:

• 1. Taman Ayun Temple

  Taman Ayun is one of the unique Balinese temples featured by water around the main temple. This temple was built by king of Mengwi, named I Gusti Agung Putu in 1556. He built this temple to respect his ancestors. Inside, you will see layer of Merus that make this temple more beautiful. Based on its name, Taman means “garden” and Ayun means “beautiful“, so Taman Ayun Temple means a temple surrounded by beautiful garden and water (Ticket Price: IDR 20.000).

• 2. Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest

  Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest is one of the forests that has hundreds of monkeys. This name comes from Alas means “forest” and Kedaton means “kingdom“. Inside, you can see hundreds of monkeys run and play, but we need to follow some instructions before entering this forest to prevent any unwanted accidents. This place has good atmosphere, for it is surrounded by various type of trees that make you want to stay longer inside (Ticket Price: IDR 40.000).

• 3. Tanah Lot Temple

  Tanah Lot Temple is a temple located on the ocean where Balinese Hindus believe this temple is part of Sad Kahyangan temple or one of the six major temples in Bali. This temple was built by Danghyang Nirartha in the 16th century. In the evening this temple will be more beautiful when the sun goes down. Besides, there is also a small cave where people usually do purification before they pray in the temple. So, don’t forget to bring you camera to snap pictures with sunset (Ticket Price: IDR 60.000).
